Welcome students!
Thank you for participating in your future. As we embark on this career path together, we want to outline the expectations for our program and ensure we remain respectful of the community facilities we are fortunate to use.
Our Instructors
Our instructors have over 70 years of combined experience. All are master or journeyman electricians, certified Mike Holt instructors, and qualified to train new instructors. You will have the pleasure of learning from highly experienced professionals dedicated to advancing your career.
Schedule and Attendance
We work closely with the MT Registered Apprenticeship Program to Verify students are fulfilling their required instructional training.
- Time: Classes meet on Wednesday nights from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on a regular school year schedule. Please be prepared to stay until class ends.
- Attendance Policy: Attendance is mandatory. If you cannot attend, you must email Kendra Casebolt at kendra@montanaelectricaleducationtraining.com with your name, program level, employer, and the reason for your absence (e.g., illness). Sponsors will be informed of any missed classes.
- Make-up Work: All absences must be made up. Missing six classes will require you to repeat your current year. Each absence will result in added classwork that will be due on the day you return to class or it will be added as a 0% on your homework.
- Military Service: If you have U.S. Military orders to report for duty, please notify administration so we can coordinate your continued studies.
Academics and Technology
- Grades: Grades are based on attendance, homework, quizzes, and exams. A passing grade is 80%.
- Cheating: Cheating will not be tolerated. Anyone who is caught cheating will receive a 0% on the assignment.
- Device Requirement: Students must bring a laptop or tablet for the online application. Cell phones are not acceptable for this purpose.
Facility Rules and Conduct
We work hard to provide a clean and affordable learning space. Anyone who deliberately damages Belgrade City property will be immediately dismissed from the program and subject to disciplinary action and possible prosecution. Please respect the property and neighborhood by adhering to the following guidelines:
- Neighbors: Do not block driveways, talk loudly, use profanity, or litter near private homes.
- Food and Drink: Non-alcoholic food and drinks are permitted in the classroom, but you must clean your area and dispose of trash properly.
- Restrooms: Keep the restrooms clean, dispose of trash correctly, and wash your hands before returning to class. Do not put tobacco or tobacco free pouches in urinals or toilets
- Classroom Courtesy: Treat one another with respect. Arrive on time and enter quietly if you are delayed. Limit texting to emergencies and keep your phone away and silenced. Step outside if you must take an emergency phone call. Avoid controversial or sensitive topics, such as politics, while on city property. Do not use inappropriate humor.
- Physical Altercations: Physical conflicts will result in immediate expulsion from the program.
- Prohibited Substances: Absolutely no alcohol, illegal substances, or tobacco products (including smoking, vaping, and smokeless tobacco) are allowed on Belgrade School District property. Violations will result in expulsion.
Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to a professional learning environment.
